The tradition of remembering our loved ones with a meal lives on --in St. Andrew’s Parish it lives on with a feast. The Mother’s Day was celebrated with a scrumptious meal consisting of blynses stuffed with meat, delicious soup, home-made bread prepared and served by the Brotherhood. Each of the mothers present was also awarded a red long-stemmed rose. The Sisterhood would like to thank the brotherhood for their special way of acknowledging mothers and wives of St. Andrew’s church. Please bring your family to our Sunday luncheons--Children under 12 eat free and students ½ price. HAPPY FATHER`S DAY! The Father's Day is celebrated to honor our fathers for everything they do for us throughout their life. Father's Day 2008 will be celebrated on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Великопостні обіди були успішними,-і всім учасникам за їхню працю велика подяка. Традиція поминальних обідів за наших спочилих живе далі --в Парафії Св. Андрія, вона живе святкуванням їхнього імени за їхні труди у Парафії. День Матері святкувавсь із першорядною стравою, складовою частиною якої були: налисники наповнені м`ясом, смачний суп, домашнього печення хліб, і до всього цього,- прислужились Братство нашої Парафії. Також кожній матері було присуджено одержати червону рожу. Сестрицтво Парафії хочуть подякувати Братству за їх спеціальний спосіб, признати матерів і жінок Церкови Св. Андрія. | Who is the Holy Spirit? Answer: There are many misconceptions on the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force. Others understand the Holy Spirit as the impersonal power God makes available to followers of Christ. What does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit? Simply put - the Bible says that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a Person, a Being with a mind, emotions, and a will. The fact that the Holy Spirit is God is clearly seen in many Scriptures including Acts 5:3-4. In this verse Peter confronts Ananias as to why he had lied to the Holy Spirit and tells him that he had “not lied to men but to God.” It is a clear declaration that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. We can also know that the Holy Spirit is God because He possesses the attributes or characteristics of God. For example, the fact that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent is seen in Psalm 139:7-8, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” Then in 1 Corinthians 2:10, we see the characteristic of omniscience in the Holy Spirit. “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.” We can know that the Holy Spirit is indeed a Person because He possesses a mind, emotions, and a will. The Holy Spirit thinks and knows (1 Corinthians 2:10). The Holy Spirit can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30). The Spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27). The Holy Spirit makes decisions according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). The Holy Spirit is God, the third “Person” of the Trinity. As God, the Holy Spirit can truly function as the Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be (John 14:16,26; 15:26). From the sayings of St. Gabrielia When God created us, He gave us life and breathed His Spirit into us. That Spirit is Love. When we lack love, we become corpses, entirely dead. Rule for Pious Life. As you enter upon your duties, strive to do everything towards the glory of God. Start nothing without prayer, because whatever we do without prayer later turns out to be futile or harmful. Дехто розглядає Його як містичну силу. Інші вважають, що це просто безлика сила, яку Бог дає послідовникам Христа. Що ж Біблія говорить про те, ким насправді є Святий Дух? Якщо коротко, то Біблія стверджує, що Святий Дух є Богом. Біблія також каже нам, що Святий Дух – це Особа, Істота, яка володіє розумом, почуттями та волею. Той факт, що Святий Дух є Богом, чітко простежується у багатьох біблійних текстах, включаючи Дії 5: 3-4. У цьому уривку Петро докоряє Ананію за обман Святого Духа і каже йому, що той «…сказав неправду не людям, а Богові!» Це – чітке свідчення того, що обман Святого Духа є обманом Бога. Ми також дізнаємося, що Святий Дух є Богом, з того, що Він володіє властивостями Бога. Наприклад, той факт, що Він – всюдисущий, находиться в книзі Псалмів 139:7-8: «Куди я від Духа Твого піду, і куди я втечу від Твого лиця? Якщо я на небо зійду, – то Ти там, або поселюся в шеолі – ось Ти!» Далі, в 1 Коринтян 2:10-11 згадується всезнання Духа Святого: «Нам це Бог відкрив через Свого Духа, бо Дух досліджує все, навіть глибини Божі. Бо хто з людей знає те, що є в людині, крім духа людини, який живе в ній? Так само і Божого ніхто не пізнав, хіба тільки Дух Божий». Ми дізнаємося, що Святий Дух насправді є Особою, оскільки Він володіє розумом, почуттями та волею. Святий Дух думає і знає (1 Коринтян 2:10). Святий Дух може бути засмучений (Ефесян 4:30). Він заступається за нас (Римлян 8:26-27). Він приймає рішення згідно зі Своєю волею (1 Коринтян 12: 7-11). Святий Дух – Бог, третя «Особа» Тройці. Лише будучи Богом, Святий Дух може діяти як Утішитель і Порадник, якого Ісус обіцяв нам дати (Івана 14:16,26; 15:26). Св. Гавриїла повчає:. Бог, коли нас створив, дав нам життя і вдихнув Духа Свого.Цей Дух є Любов. Коли нас залишає любов, тоді ми становимось трупами. Буваєм вже цілком мертвими. Правило Благочестивого життя. Коли приступаєш до своїх обов`язків, старайся робити все в славу Божу. Ні одного діла не починай без молитви, бо те, що ми робимо без молитви, потім виходить або безвартісним або шкідливим . Правдиві слова Господні: "Без Мене не можете робити нічого." |
